1. Posting to ping via many different IM clients, mobile phone, terminal, dashboard widget, api, air app, email, voice, firefox plugin, ubiquity, IRC, and more isn't enough; we NEED to have an official desktop client is just strange logic.
2. This point makes #1 moot, because ping has a desktop client, as noted in the link I posted above ^.
Have you used socialthing at all? It requires having a tab open but i've found that between posting to ping and pulling from nearly every social network it makes a pretty good complete tool.
;)
I was using Jott for updating Twitter up until I got on to Ping.fm. I tried using one for the other with no success. Now that they are out of beta, they changed more to a voice-based organization tool than for blogging.

I have not TRIED it simply because it uses a T. number in Canada. I may look at getting an LD package just because.
All in all, a much better set up for what I need. I look forward to using it.
I was looking for a mobile service to connect me in to Flickr after nakama.ca came crashing down out of the blue. I signed up for it when it was utterz. I still get email from them, so they never left my memory. I don't recall all these multimedia things, but it looks well featured.
Your site is one of my favorites seen around the world. Keep up the good work. I wish you all the best in all years.
